some anchor points move, while the rest remain in place

Question

I am working along with the video: "creating dome structures"

when I use the join curve -> control points -> anchor points, there are a just a few that do not remain anchored. what might cause this?

Hi Jeremy!
What happens if you increase the strength of the Anchor component? Also, could you check if all the control points got extracted from the "control points" component? Sometimes some of them are omitted for strange some reason.
Another way to extract the control points instead of using the join curve > control points is shown in the image below:
